Mathematics presentation

We all enjoyed a wonderful presentation on Mathematics and the meta-mathematical implications of the fact that Math “works” at all, and that we can discover various mathematical principles. We tried something new this time; we recorded the presentation and uploaded it to YouTube. The link is below.

Mathematics: Constructed or Created?

The notes for the lecture are available here:

The presentation was well received and we hope to offer more structured presentations in the future. In the past most of our meetings have just been random discussions about whatever interests those who show up. This was such a successful presentation, and attracted so much interest from so many people outside of our group that we feel we’ve scratched an itch.

Stay tuned for upcoming presentations.
